6th Grade Assistant Principal
Amber Manganelli
My career in education began after graduating from Elon University in 1999 with a degree in Middle Grades education, focusing on social studies and math. I received my Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Lesley University in 2005. I have had the honor of working in Fulton County Schools for the past 20 years. Most of this time has been spent at Hopewell Middle School where I have served as a Grade Level Chair, Department Chair of Social Studies and TAG, Chair of the SGC and most recently as the Administrative Assistant.
I currently live in the Crabapple community with my husband, Jim, and our two children. Eva is a 6th grader at Elkins Pointe Middle and my son, Patrick is a 2nd grader at Crabapple Crossing Elementary. In my spare time, my daughter and I enjoy taking cooking classes together. I am also an active volunteer with my son’s Cub Scout Pack #841.
I believe strongly that all students can learn, but at different rates and in different ways. If given the right tools, any student can build a solid foundation for success. In this new role I am excited to engage and partner with teachers and students, and provide the support and guidance needed to meet our goals for success and achievement.
