7th Grade Assistant Principal

Lauren Pritchard

Hey Wildcat Family! My name is Lauren Pritchard and I’m a passionate educator and leader with a background in middle grades instruction and school leadership. I started my career in Bowling Green, Kentucky, teaching reading and ELA at a rural Title I middle school before getting married in 2017 and moving to Georgia with my husband, Mason, who is from the Milton area. Once here, I spent eight years at Crabapple Middle School in a variety of roles—including reading teacher, graduation coach, and administrative assistant—which really shaped my love for supporting both students and staff.  Most recently, I’ve been serving as an Assistant Principal at Cogburn Woods Elementary School, where I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with teachers, students, and families to support learning and build a strong school community. I cannot wait to take everything I have learned in the elementary setting and return to my roots as an even better middle school educator.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education from Western Kentucky University and my Master’s in Teacher Leadership from Kennesaw State University. I’m currently continuing my educational journey by completing my EDS in educational leadership this summer. My husband and I have a three-year-old son named Cole who is keeping us on our toes! In my spare time, I love to binge a good show, go trail running, or spend time outdoors with my friends and family. Yes, I include restaurant patios as outdoor activities LOL! I’m beyond excited to continue my journey in education as the new Assistant Principal of Northwestern Middle School and can’t wait to be part of such an incredible community.
