Julie Godfrey

Ms. Godfrey began her teaching career in 1999 after earning both a bachelor’s and master's degree from the University of Florida in Middle Grades Science Education. In 2014, she decided to further her education by receiving an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University. She has had the privilege of teaching science across all three grade levels to students at all ability levels in the Northwestern community for the last 23 years. In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Godfrey has served NMS as the Professional Learning Facilitator, Science Department Chair, and Instructional Coach. She is dedicated to supporting both students and teachers as they grow to meet their full potential academically and professionally. Ms. Godfrey lives in Cherokee County with her husband, Tim, and two children, Reagan (9) and Evan (7).  When she has free time, Ms. Godfrey enjoys baking, hiking, fishing, spending time with her family, and traveling.

Ms. Godfrey looks forward to continuing to work with the NMS community during the 2022-23 school year!
